Bathtubs & Basins Made from D-STŌN®
Your limited warranty is valid only if D-STŌN® products are installed by a registered plumber. Please note that the warranty will be void if the installation instructions are not followed or if the products are not installed by a registered plumber.
Warranty Coverage
D-STŌN®, hereinafter referred to as “D-STŌN®”, provides the following limited residential warranty on bathtubs and basins manufactured from D-STŌN® material, hereinafter referred to as “the products.”
D-STŌN® guarantees that all products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase, regardless of delivery or installation date, for the lifetime of the product, subject to the terms and conditions set out below.
Eligibility & Conditions
- This warranty applies only to products purchased from an Authorised Dealer.
- Products not purchased through an Authorised Dealer are excluded from this warranty.
- Warranties apply only to first-time owners, being the name that appears on the original invoice.
- Valid only in South Africa and for personal or single-family residential use.
Warranty Claims
- Written notice of any defect must be submitted within ten (10) days of discovery.
- Claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and installer contact details.
- Products must be water-tested prior to installation.
- Installation must be carried out in strict accordance with D-STŌN® installation instructions and by a qualified or licensed plumber or installer.
Failure to comply with these requirements will render the warranty void.
Exclusions & Limitations
This warranty does not cover:
- Costs associated with removal, reinstallation, labour, transportation, or access
- Damage caused by the installer, carrier, user, or any third party
- Leaks resulting from improper waste or overflow installation
- Incidental or consequential damage, loss of time, inconvenience, or incidental expenses
- Water damage to adjacent materials such as flooring, ceilings, or carpeting
- Display models or overstock sale units
D-STŌN® shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the sale, use, or installation of its products.
Material Characteristics
- Minor blemishes, air holes, or casting marks on the underside of bathtubs or basins are not considered defects and do not affect product performance or quality.
- Due to the inherent nature of natural stone, slight surface variations may occur. These are not defects and do not compromise the structural integrity of the product.
- Dimensional tolerance: ±5%. All dimensions are approximate and must be verified prior to installation.
Usage, Care & Maintenance
- Exposure to strong, abrasive, or improper chemicals will damage the product and void the warranty.
- Avoid sudden or extreme temperature fluctuations of 40°C or more, including ambient changes or filling with excessively hot or cold water.
- Geyser temperatures should not exceed 55°C (130°F).
- Exposure to water temperatures above this limit may cause material damage and void the warranty.
Repairs
- Chips, cracks, and scratches may be repaired by a qualified technician at the owner’s expense.
- This warranty is limited solely to the repair and/or replacement of the product.
- Labour, transportation, removal, reinstallation, and access costs are not included.
Custom Colours
D-STŌN® bathtubs and basins are available in custom matte colours, which carry a 1-year warranty.

Commercial Use
For commercial installations, warranty terms are similar but differ in certain aspects.

Installation & Product Suitability Disclaimer
All D-STŌN® products must be installed in full compliance with applicable local building and plumbing regulations. It is the responsibility of the installer, contractor, or property owner to ensure that the selected product and installation method meet regional regulatory requirements.
D-STŌN® shall not be held liable for damage, non-compliance, or warranty claims arising from incorrect product selection, improper installation, misuse, or failure to comply with applicable regulations.

The manufacturer follows a policy of continual product development and improvement. Product specifications, dimensions, colours, and finishes may change without prior notice.

The manufacturer’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the bath or basin, if defective in the opinion of the manufacturer. or its representative. The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or any consequential loss resulting from a defect in the product.
Claims from any entity who was not the original purchaser of the product will be considered invalid. D-STŌN® guarantees that all products will be free from defects in materials and craftmanship during use in commercial or business environments for a period of 7 years from the date of purchase.
An environment is deemed commercial or business should any payment or emolument be made for the use of the product during its lifetime. Items not purchased directly from an Authorised Dealer will not apply. We guarantee that all products will be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship from the date of purchase regardless of the delivery or installation date, and for the lifetime of the product. Warranties only apply to first-time owners. Therefore, the name that appears on original invoice. Written notice of any defect must be given within ten days of the time the defect is discovered and must be accompanied by proof of purchase and contact details of the installer. Warranty is void if the products are not water tested prior to installation or if not installed per our installation instructions and by a professional/licensed plumber or installer. D-STŌN® will not be responsible for the cost of removing or reinstalling the bathtubs, or costs associated with any adjacent materials. D-STŌN® does not warrant leaks associated with improper waste and overflow installation.
Blemishes, air holes or casting marks on the underside of the bathtub are not considered defects and do not affect the performance or quality of the bathtub. Due to the inherent nature of the natural stone and its appearance, slight variations in the surface of the product are not considered defects or flaws. Variations in the surface do not compromise the structural integrity of the product. Tolerance on dimensions: ± 5%. Exposure to strong chemicals may cause damage to the product and will result in the product warranty being void. The guarantee does not cover defects, damage or failure caused by the installer, carrier, user or any other person. Chips, cracks and scratches can be repaired by a qualified technician at the owner’s/user’s expense.
The following is specifically excluded under this warranty:
- careless handling;
- modification of any type for any reason;
- connections supplied by the installer;
- misuse;
- incorrect or improper maintenance;
- incorrect or inadequate water use;
- use of improper cleaners and/or chemicals;
- lack of maintenance;
- or extraordinary acts of God.
Display floor models and overstock sale units are excluded from this guarantee. D-STŌN® is not liable for incidental or consequential damage, loss of time, inconvenience, incidental expenses, labour or material charges, or any other costs related to the sale of products, or the application of any warranty or from any cause such as water damage to carpeting, floors or ceilings. The warranty does not include labour, transportation or other costs incurred in the removal and/or re-installation of the original unit or replacement unit. Costs related to obtaining access for repair are not covered.
